Garages & Workshop


The vehicles are parked on Gluecksland - situated more or less between Windhoek and the airport. The first garage offers space for 12 off-roaders. The second garage is under construction. From summer '22 onward, another 28 vehicles will be storage here - protected from the sun, wind and rain. Trucks are welcome.

We are experts in carrying out electric, engine-, chassis- and body work as well as equipping and customising off-road vehicles, including our own developments. For the unusual, I work with partner companies in Windhoek. While you are at home, we'll make your car fit!

Services

Washing area & washing machine

Namibia is dusty, even in the vehicle. There is a washing area for your vehicle and a washing machine. You can do it yourself or we can do it for you. Before you go home or continue your trip, everything will be clean.

Airport transfer

No matter when you arrive in Windhoek at Husea Kutako Airport or when you fly back, with us you'll get a safe airport transfer. Please book your transfer 10 days in advance - we will take you directly to Gluecksland.

Maintenance & repair

In Africa not only flora and fauna are wild. On bumpy roads things often break down and/or need to be serviced. We take care of it, even if you are in Europe. In my workshop I do (almost) everything.

Specialist workshops

For complex or special repairs on your off-roader, I have been working with good specialist workshops and dealers in Windhoek for years: Tyres, gearbox, windows, air conditioning ... Your vehicle is in good hands!

Document service

Your Carnet de Passage expires and you can't get into Namibia. Just think of Covid 19 - what a nightmare. Here in Windhoek I have a network of good cooperation with authorities and agencies.

Battery Management System

In our case, even during the Corona period, all batteries remained functional. We always charge them according to our own battery management system (BC-BMS). The guest vehicles start immediately and there is a cold beer in the fridge quickly.

Gluecksland

Gluecksland is 180 ha in size and is situated 42 km east of Windhoek and 30 km from the airport. For years I have managed a guest farm with vehicle storage and know the requirements exactly. You want your vehicle to be in the best of hands. And that is a matter of trust.

At Gluecksland your vehicle is safely stored in specially designed garages. The second garage for 28 vehicles will be ready in summer '22. We look after the batteries, keep the engines running regularly and, if you wish, we will move your car. Any repairs, conversions or servicing are carried out in our own workshop. Your vehicle will be washed and cleaned when you pick it up!

Gluecksland is situated in the middle of the Namatanga Conservancy, a beautiful area. With a bit of luck, you can observe oryx, kudu, wildebeest, zebra and much more. It's my home and I can live my dream here, together with my guests. An evening campfire is a good place for travel stories.

My environment is precious to me. I treat it with care on Gluecksland: the best water comes from my borehole, electricity is generated by photovoltaics and hot water by solar panels.

How to find Gluecksland / Car Storage Namibia:

  • From Windhoek, take the B6 towards Husea Kutako Airport.
  • At the B6 / C23 junction, turn off towards Dordabis.
  • After 9.1 km you will see the sign on the right-hand side of the road: Batz GlücksLand.

  • Enter the gate here and follow the track for 4.3 km to the next gate.
  • Turn left here and after 100 m turn right again.
  • After another 350 m you will arrive!
